Hanratty|The problem is not with Lao Tze's classic Tao Te Ching, but in the many translations that have come out in the past few years. This is one of the best in that it is not too 'Western" and not too complicated. In addition, Derek Lin has interpretations of the meanings of the original Chinese characters, which helps a lot.
